The Farm

Shelduck Farm is a working farm in the heart of the Meander Valley, Tasmania. It was once a family owned dairy farm and then sold and planted with blue gum trees for harvesting.

Shelduck Farm now produces high quality, grass-fed beef as well as a range of hand-made artisan products.

About us

Sally and Rob McCreath moved to Tasmania in 2017 from a beef and cropping farm on the Darling Downs, South East Queensland.

They fell in love with a former forestry plantation block in the Meander Valley and set to work returning it into a modern, productive grass-fed beef operation.

Sally and Rob have always been interested in food, the production of it and sharing their passion through paddock to plate experiences.

In 2025, Sally and Rob took a step back from oatcakes to focus on beef production while their eldest daughter, Jessie took over the kitchen.
